Secondary Two Camp 2007Finally back from camp! We headed off for camp from Friday after school and only got to return to civillsation this afternoon.
Fresh hot pictures from the camp for classes 2-1,2-7,2-8 and 2-9. It's the other classes' turn today till Tuesday.
This year's Secondary Two camp was held at the Changi Outdoor Adventures Center (or something Changi, I think). The campsite was actually pretty good, with a very beautiful view. They had a very good view of the Changi costal area, and there were many planes flying past in the skies as we were quite near Changi Airport.

There were altogether eight activities I think, four tree top activities, abseiling, rockclimbing, zipline and kayaking. All these activities were carried out over the three days we were there, and whilst the students were attempting the various stations, I attempted some stations too with Ms Davora, Mrs Chew and Mrs Ling. It was pretty fun, but I am still quite bummed by the fact I couldn't hold onto the pole for a longer while when attempting the confidence pole. I just grabbed it, and then my hands simply slipped. Made two attempts, but unfortunately both attempts were the same. Nonetheless, it was great fun trying out these things and proving some boys wrong when they thought that their teachers were scaredy cats.

On the last night which was also the campfire night, the teachers had a treat in the form of a mini steamboat session, hehe!

Food!
And then, it was the campfire session. Campfire was kind of not-so-exciting in my opinion because the pace was a little too slow, and there wasn't much for campfire except for the groups to present their skits and cheers. I thought mini interhouse competitions during the campfire might have been more fun, topped with a couple of campfire songs. Roasting marshmallows would of couse be even great! Haha.

After the campfire, it was finally time to head off to bed for us teachers, and also marked the final night of our stay in the campsite.
Philippe House did a "special performance" for us teachers before we were to depart back for school. It was really amusing, and I couldn't help but keep laughing when they were doing the cheer. Should have asked for an encore and made a video recording of it! Wasted, haha!

One thing I really liked about the campsite was the view, it was so picture perfect! I never knew I could see such clear waters in Singapore, or that there were such lovely stars to gaze upon at night within Singapore island itself. I liked the views so much, I took quite a number of pictures of the skies and the sea.

Overall, I should think my first school camp experience was a rather positive and pleasant one, except for the millions of mosquito bites, and for the sorching sun which has made me turned super tanned. Super
sian!!! Now I look so dark, I don't like it. (>.<)"
Though I pretty much enjoyed the camp, but I am still definitely glad to be back in the comfort of my own bed. Home sweet home. (^v^)p
