Very very very tiredI am feeling extremely tired, to the brink of exhaustion.
I feel so stiffled, the stress is getting too overwhelming.
Lessons, CCA, form class, committees, personal life and whatsoever other commitments I have is making me feel suffocated.
I want a break.
I need a break.

SHE concertAttended the SHE concert yesterday, thanks to free ticket from A. Initially felt quite
sian about the concert because we had to walk like 30 minutes in the drizzling rain before we reached the Indoor Stadium, not forgetting the fact that there were like millions of people in the vicinity as well due to some soccer match. Total
sian-sation.
As for the concert, it was not bad, SHE sang quite a number of songs, guest appearances by Fahrenheit and Stephanie Sun. I preferred the slow songs, but sadly they didn't sing my only favourite song. Bummer.
Nevertheless, I guess it wasn't too bad an experience, since I didn't have to pay for the concert, though I wouldn't have been there if I had to. Haha.
Lastly, posting up a short clip of their encore piece. Took quite a number of pictures, but too lazy to sort as yet.

Random stuffJust some random stuff I feel like blogging before I head off for bed.
The CO had a rehearsal at Singapore Conference Hall today. It was pretty okay, and I had a chance to take a walk around DBS building, UIC building, AVIVA and CPF building. The Singapore Conference Hall itself was somewhat similar to the latest Jay Chou movie. They had a lot of golden colored items in it. Super bling bling.
Got an invite to watch the SHE concert for free this Saturday. Tickets which were worth $128 or so I heard. Wasn't really intending to go, since its basically "three chipmunks singing", as quoted from someone, haha. But since its free and I already said previously I'd go if it's free, so I guess just go
lor.
I feel like going midnight shopping in Orchard. I have not been to Orchard for ages, very very very long time. I NEED to go Orchard to SHOP soon.
Okay, enough of random things for now.
The random mind needs to sleep.

Food therapyNew found hobby! FOOD.
No thanks to the amount of stress I have been suffering, the number of irritants I have been facing or the failure to dart from arrows.
Speaking of irritants, I have seen too many aplenty recently, from a particular place.
Don't presume I don't know anything outside of my lessons or of things which are mentioned involving me. I don't do anything not because I am afraid, but because I can't be bothered with childish twerps. But exceed my patience and limits, I promise life ahead would be full of colors. VERY COLORFUL INDEED (think in the shades of RED).

Why am I a Chinese teacher?I think quite a number of people asked me this question before... "Why did you choose to teach Chinese?"
And I have asked myself before, "Why am I a Chinese teacher?"
Well, after much pondering, I suppose the only reason I am a Chinese teacher is because Chinese is my pet subject since secondary school. My English was bad, and hence my English literature wasn't good ither. My Maths and Science were horrible, I didn't like reading History as a subject, but only as leisure reading material. Though my Principles of Accounts wasn't too bad, but I sucked at Maths and I didn't want to end up having to pay for all the shortchanges with my pay.
Thus, I figured if I had to be a teacher, I could only be a Chinese teacher.
Okay, this is basically just a very bored entry from a very bored person who suddenly had a bit of time to spare and not know what to do.

As days go by...Yet another week gone in a jiffy.
Week 4 is approaching, the week of class tests, preparation for common tests and e-learning week.
I am already beginning to feel the heat from having so many things to settle, and so many battles to fight. Minus off the irrates, I am still pretty much enjoying my work and stuff.
And other than retail therapy, I have also found a new source of slightly cheaper therapy - food therapy! Been having good food like every other day and stuffing myself silly to de-stress. Just ate at Swensons yesterday with some boys from my form class. After our main course, we shared this giant Earthquake and finished it within ten minutes I think. The boys mixed all the ice cream flavours together, and it really ended up looking like its moniker. Hahaha.

Picture courtesy of "with love, THE CRAB".
Sometimes I really enjoy mixing around with the students, because they are very "real" and they never try to conceal their true opinions. If only everyone was so simple! Then there won't be mind guessing games, presumptions and wariness.
Anyway, enough of serious and mind boggling matters. Reminder to self: I need to get my lazy butt off to the library someday soon. Severe deprivation of food for the mind. Going braindead soon facing mediocre/ sub-standard/ sloppy work. I need my brain food to retain my sanity. Maybe I should just splurge on Mitch Albom's For One More Day hardcover copy. It seemed like eternity since the book was released, and I haven't seen the softcover copy around YET. Or maybe there isn't going to be any softcover copies? Whatever.
I should go book shopping soon.

Contradictory human beingsFeeling extremely bored from all the marking and hence decides to blog a short entry. Work is still ALOT as usual and I am still busy as usual. How interesting my life is! Haha!
Anyway, been thinking that human beings are extremely contradictory. Or should I say they ain't exactly very trusting? Like when someone asks me a question and I give a negative reply, they will go " Sure or not? Don't bluff." Then when I answer positively, they go "Really ar?"
Perhaps society has trained us in such a way we don't believe in things without posing our doubts. But then, it makes people seem so distant and cold, that we just can't seem to trust, that we question everything that everyone does. I wish the world was simpler, that everyone is a little more trusting. Perhaps so, then the world will be a better place to be in, and everyone will be happier.
The world is getting bigger because everyone is getting further away from one another.

Farewell of the weekendsIt's the time of the week to bade farewell to the weekends again.
The time of the week again when nothing seems to go right and everything just seems to be going wrong.
The time of the week to be feeling depressed and down again.

WeekendsIT'S FINALLY THE WEEKEND. A weekend with no work and for me to enjoy. Especially looked forward to this weekend because my previous one was burnt, and it felt like I haven't had a breather for ages. Anyhow, it's finally time to chill and just
nua for this two days.
This week had been quite a busy week for me in school, with the official start of lessons for the Secondary Ones, the preparation for the CCA Talks on Tuesday and the CCA Exhibition held yesterday. There were like tonnes of meetings to attend, loads of homework to collect and so many issues to settle. How "interesting". Not only that, the rain came everyday, nonstop. So far, I have already like "washed" two pairs of my heels in muddy water. Though I hope this doesn't continue, but this will mean I need to get more new heels, which is a valid reason to shop again. Haha! Probably should drag the best friends to the movies over the weekend as well. Movie fanatic me hasn't been to the theatres ever since New Year's Day, unimaginable. So many movies I want to catch, argh, I feel so no-life. =(
Hence, during this weekend, I MUST at least shop/watch movies/read/do something fun.
Alright, end of post.
Time to shop-eat-play-read-enjoy.

The unluckiest day for my handphoneToday must have been the ultimate
suay day for my handphone. Clumsy me dropped it for like almost five times just within a day, and all during the time I was in school. I dropped it in places like canteen, corridor, office, outside CO room and whatever-place-I-forgot.
Sigh. I really like my current phone a lot (a lot = no intention of wanting to change it YET), and I do hope it can at least survive a couple more months before something fancy catches my attention again.

Secondary Two Camp 2007Finally back from camp! We headed off for camp from Friday after school and only got to return to civillsation this afternoon.
Fresh hot pictures from the camp for classes 2-1,2-7,2-8 and 2-9. It's the other classes' turn today till Tuesday.
This year's Secondary Two camp was held at the Changi Outdoor Adventures Center (or something Changi, I think). The campsite was actually pretty good, with a very beautiful view. They had a very good view of the Changi costal area, and there were many planes flying past in the skies as we were quite near Changi Airport.

There were altogether eight activities I think, four tree top activities, abseiling, rockclimbing, zipline and kayaking. All these activities were carried out over the three days we were there, and whilst the students were attempting the various stations, I attempted some stations too with Ms Davora, Mrs Chew and Mrs Ling. It was pretty fun, but I am still quite bummed by the fact I couldn't hold onto the pole for a longer while when attempting the confidence pole. I just grabbed it, and then my hands simply slipped. Made two attempts, but unfortunately both attempts were the same. Nonetheless, it was great fun trying out these things and proving some boys wrong when they thought that their teachers were scaredy cats.

On the last night which was also the campfire night, the teachers had a treat in the form of a mini steamboat session, hehe!

Food!
And then, it was the campfire session. Campfire was kind of not-so-exciting in my opinion because the pace was a little too slow, and there wasn't much for campfire except for the groups to present their skits and cheers. I thought mini interhouse competitions during the campfire might have been more fun, topped with a couple of campfire songs. Roasting marshmallows would of couse be even great! Haha.

After the campfire, it was finally time to head off to bed for us teachers, and also marked the final night of our stay in the campsite.
Philippe House did a "special performance" for us teachers before we were to depart back for school. It was really amusing, and I couldn't help but keep laughing when they were doing the cheer. Should have asked for an encore and made a video recording of it! Wasted, haha!

One thing I really liked about the campsite was the view, it was so picture perfect! I never knew I could see such clear waters in Singapore, or that there were such lovely stars to gaze upon at night within Singapore island itself. I liked the views so much, I took quite a number of pictures of the skies and the sea.

Overall, I should think my first school camp experience was a rather positive and pleasant one, except for the millions of mosquito bites, and for the sorching sun which has made me turned super tanned. Super
sian!!! Now I look so dark, I don't like it. (>.<)"
Though I pretty much enjoyed the camp, but I am still definitely glad to be back in the comfort of my own bed. Home sweet home. (^v^)p

Off to campOff to the Secondary Two camp tomorrow after school. It's been like almost ten years since I went for a camp and I am not sure if I will be okay with the camp or not.
Anyhow, I only hope for the below:
1. They have hot water heater facilities there.
2. They have CLEAN beds for me to sleep, with CLEAN pillows.
3. The insects and mosquitoes hate me, and thus won't come near me.
That's basically all that I hope for. *cross finger*

Japan 2006Phew, I finally finished resizing and sorting out the pictures for the Japan trip. Decided to do collages instead of posting them up one by one because it was too tedious to do so.
Anyway, the trip on the whole was really enjoyable and I should think all of us had fun. Enjoy the pictures!

On the sixth day morning, we departed for Fukuoka International Airport. It was pretty sad to be leaving Japan so soon, with all the good food and quality shopping... no one seemed keen on returning to Singapore. But I suppose all good things will have to come to an end. Nevertheless, I think I should be going back to Japan for holidays probably end of this year, hehe!
