Impromptu steamboatWas initially invited to a sinful BBQ session with friends, but thanks to the persistent rain, it eventually became a healthy steamboat session.

Quite little food actually, but already more than enough for six.
The weather was dreary today, and sitting around enjoying the hot steamboat was quite warming to both the body and the heart. Heartwarming, because we hardly have time to sit down and enjoy such gatherings, and heartwarming because, instead of simply cancelling the BBQ and ordering delivery, XY opted to convert it to a steamboat session, and even cut her hand badly in the midst of preparations. Sometimes, it's not the grand elaborated things which makes one touched or pleased, it's these simple gestures which makes the heart melt, simple acts which shows you care...
Meanwhile, trying my best to curb my spending by cabbing less often... bus rides are pretty fun too, minus off people who doze off on the bus and end up leaning on me, minus off people who talk on the phone so loudly in the bus like nobody's business, minus off people who simply love to hog at the doors and refuse to move away and minus off people who enjoy scrutinising other passengers onboard as if they came from Mars.
For now, every cent counts, or should I say every Yen counts.
But that's after I get my Levi's at Metro tomorrow with their 20% storewide, been eyeing for a new pair for quite some time, and I guess it's finally time to add a new pair of jeans to my wardrobe. Hmm, and maybe I should pop by the library to borrow new books to read again! Travelogues would be good.
